so, i was released yesterday from the 53 man roster and will sign back on today on practice squad as long as i clear waivers. no biggy, they needed to make room on the roster for some people. injuries are taking their toll. we needed a couple d-lineman. i will be back up as soon as possible. so, if you read that i was released yesterday, i'm still here, but on the practice squad for a week or so. no worries, it's all in God's plan for me. praise Him that i have a job.

ey der, buddies. please be in prayer for my friend lindsay crowder, her family is battling some sickness right now. her mom just got done fighting cancer, now her sister might have some, and lindsay has to take her test again. keep them in your prayers.

so, not much going on. i'm just layin' it down in porcelain town right now. watched to bachelor tonight and had a good time doing it. kristie cooked up a wonderful meal that i promptly put to rest along with the help of andy eby. i am going to start putting up the campic of the week again. i am also adding my bestbuy.com wishlist. should be up soon.

::.. a funny thing happened on the way to work ..::

so, i'm driving to work this morning and as i'm passing a semi, this bird comes flying, no, swooping in from out of nowhere (which is usually where they come from) and slams into the passenger door of this semi! it then bounces off the semi and crashes into my windshield! from there i'm not sure where it went off to, but i'm sure it wasn't happy if it was alive. so that's my story.

so i wanted to take kristie to see the lion king broadway show while it was here in the stl.... she says her mom is getting tickets through somebody. ok, that's great. they got tickets for the 11th and then the practice schedule came out this week and i have practice tonight until 9pm.

now i can't go see it. that sucks.

monday nite is coming and so are the falcons. i hope they're ready.

"Last night, at the college small group we were talking about the dangers of gossip, etc. We had a really good discussion going—defined it, determined how we could know if we’ve crossed the line into it, why we love it (Proverbs 18:8—interesting Proverb) and then we settled in to discuss what we’ve seen it do in the lives of others. Lots of folks were sharing some really good insights and such and then this one very small, quiet girl spoke up. She’s been coming for a while but like I said, is very quiet. Well, she shared how this one girl started a rumor about her once and how it alienated her in her church family and school. It was quite the little story and we were all surprised to hear this small little girl speak up. When she was finished, I said, “Wow. What did you do?” Her response: “I found her and kicked the crap out of her. I wanted to do more, but well…there’s a restraining order.” The group response: silence.

The moral of the story: The smallest, quietest person in a small group Bible study may actually be a ninja.

so here i am, dropping one off. we had practice yesterday. it went well, but i am fairly stiff and sore from the week off. we are getting ready for the falcons on monday night this week. should be a good game. we are going against the 3-4 defense this week, so it calls for some extra preparation. kristie and i just got back from an hour long walk around creve couer lake with owen. i stink now and am going to get into the shower.

so my big highlite this week is that kristie's birthday was yesterday! we had a great time. we went to the butterfly house out to sushi for dinner. it was wonderful.

so the other day kristie and i were going through the starbucks drive through and i ordered my first drink. "and then....?" was the reply on the speaker box. this sparked my curiousity and so i ordered my next drink. "and then....?" came the reply. i was stunned. so i said "no and then." "and then?" "no and then." "and then?" "NO AND THEN!" hahaha. it was awesome. dude, where's my car? is one of the greatest stupid movies ever. that really made my day.
