praise the Lord, i am back! i returned last night, braving torrid rain storms in kansas and missouri. i made it home is much less time than on the way down. heeeeeere is the story ::

i leave on friday night to go to branson and meet andy eby at the lake. i leave at 7pm and get there about 11:30pm because i hit traffic for about and hour by six flags. we go to bed and get up the next morning. andy seems to think that winfield, kansas is not that far away so we go out on the lake early and are going to leave in the early afternoon. well, we get done with lunch around 2 and still have to put the boat away. we get showered and get gas then we are out around 4pm, a little late. the best way on the map we got at the gas station has us going north, then west, then south. it looks a little long, but not as long as it felt or really was. we stopped for about 45 minutes around 6pm for dinner at pizza hut and finally arrived in winfield around 11:15pm. yeah that's right, i said 11:15. it took us longer to drive from branson to winfield then it would take me to get home last night going the way that mapquest told me to go in the first place. when we arrived, some of the guys informed us that there was a much shorter way to go that would have saved us about 3 hours. oops! oh, well......
::
it was well worth it because i had an awesome experience! i came home with a tan and a new fire for Christ! i am so excited about my relationship with God right now. being in a christian leadership postion for those kids was great, for me and for them. i had 5 kids come to ask Jesus to really lead their lives at the end of the week. i also had a real challenge in one of the kids in my huddle who just didn't seem to want to cooperate. i don't think that he wanted to be there that much, but he didn't really want to talk about it much. i am praying for him, and the rest of my guys. the Holy Spirit was moving me this week though, we had great discussions in our huddle times and i'm really excited about the direction that my life is headed. pray for me please because when the going gets good, Satan gets going. i will surely be attacked more blatantly.
::
i think that this page needs an overhaul so, i may be doing some re-designing soon. more recent pics, maybe a verse of the week to discuss, and definitely a new look. we'll see what i can whip up.

bum bada bum, bada, bum bum bum, bum bada bum...... another.....
blog from the throne
hey, good morning everyone.......
nice to see you all here. i'm hanging out at the apt this morning getting ready to fold clothes! awesome! the life of a husband. see what you get to look forward to aaron and mike (lewis). the fun does not stop.
:: alrighty, story time....
last night i say to kristie, "hey, let's get chinese." she says ok. so here i go, in my house shoes and shorts, out to get chinese. now, we have not found a good chinese place that delivers to the apt, so i drove out to mid rivers (one exit down the highway) to the "china wok". i order some food and go to pay. the lady taking my order says "we no have credit swipe. there atm at citgo." i say ok, and get in my car. luckily there is a bank of america a block away so i go and get some cash out and drive back to the china wok. i pay the lady and she gives me my order. when i saw her put a styrofoam tub of something in my bag, i asked her what it was. she says "it gravy for you cahew chicken." yum! i knew then that i was in trouble. i come home with the "food" and was getting ready to eat when the dryer got done and it was time to fold clothes. (clothes out of the dryer must be folded immediately so that they do not get wrinkled) while we were foldeding kristie says "hey, i think he's eating something." meaning the dog. well he was. he had grabbed my full order of "cashew chicken" (which turned out to be deep fried chicken with cashews that i had to cover with the "gravy") and had managed to consume over half of it. needless to say i threw that away. all we had left was a half order of general's chicken and some fried rice. so we shared and had dinner while we watched "just married". so how 'bout that?
:: movie review
just married was pretty good. i enjoyed ashton kuoc??? (whatever). that guy is funny. i already told you all about his show punk'd on mtv. i laughed a lot and we both really enjoyed this movie.
so that's about it. life goes on and i have a list of things to do........

another long weekend.....
happy father's day to my dad, and my father in-law. also happy anniversary to my parents this past sunday as well....
this weekend was nice. kristie and i went to chicago on friday. kristie had a bridal shower/bachelorette party to go to so i hung out... lots of pool time on saturday. i established myself as the "KING OF POOL HORSE" and don't you forget it. i also got a little sunburn, so that was nice. on to ed debevics for dinner, got waited on by hound-dog, my brother. he is a great waiter there. very rude and obnoxious. we got home and phil and i went to see 2fast 2furious. awesome ricers! terrible movie.... but awesome ricers! sunday we went to a schaumburg flyer's game. got another sunburn. that was awesome.... no pain though.
monday morning we picked out our wedding photos and put together our album. it looks good too. ok, that's about it right now. talk to you later.

ok, so i'm going to try and go see 2fast 2furious this weekend. i know, i know.... you are saying "eeewwww, why do you want to see that movie, dork?" because it is about ricers and i love to laugh at ricers. they are awesome. these cars are the most ridiculous things on earth! honestly, who needs to spend that much money on making your car look stupid? do you really need to drive it that fast? come on.... anyway, that should be fun.
so, listen.... how are you doing? if you are reading this, please take the time to comment and let me know how you are doing. i would like to know. thanks. God bless everyone and take care.

this one is from jopa
One day a florist goes to the barber for a haircut. After the cut he goes
to pay the barber and the barber replies:

"I am sorry I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community
service." The florist is happy and leaves the shop.

The next morning when the barber goes to open his shop, there is a thank
you card and one dozen roses waiting at his door. A cop goes for a haircut
and he also goes to pay the barber after the cut.

But the barber replies: "I'm sorry I cannot accept money from you. I'm
doing community service." The cop is happy and leaves the shop. The next
morning the barber goes to open his shop, there is a thank you card and one
dozen donuts waiting at his door.

A Mexican cook goes for a haircut and he also goes to pay the
barber after the cut. But the barber replies:

"I'm sorry I can't accept money from you I'm doing a community
service." The Mexican cook is happy and leaves. The next morning when the
barber goes to open his shop guess what he finds there?...................

A dozen Mexicans waiting for a free haircut!!
