PRAYER REQUEST...

Please pray for my friend Andy's dad. he just found out that cancer that had gone away has come back and quickly spread throughout his intestine. he does not have a surgical option. please be lifting their family up in your prayers. thank you.

Father, you are the Great Physician. We know that you can heal with a breath from your mouth, or a touch of your hand. We also know that you have a story that we are all part of. Lord, we want to be in your story and live by your will, but loosing loved ones is hard, even if we know that they are going Home to be with You. We are asking in agreement across the country that you place your healing hands on Andy's dad. Father, whether he is healed or not, give him the strength to live through this time. Give him strength of spirit and of heart. Bless his family with grace and kindness and allow them to spend quality time together.

You have brought people back from the dead, you have parted waters, and you have caused the blind to see, so we know that you can take cancer away. Let your healing hand pass over Andy's dad if it pleases you Father. Most importantly give everyone a peace to know that what pleases you is ultimately what we want. If it pleases you to have him Home with you, then let us rejoice for he has run the race well and will finally be finished and be able to rest in your arms...

Amen

snow.... in March...

it just snowed here a few days ago. a week before that it was in the high 70's. now it's back to mid 60's. the sun is out and the birds are chirping, there is a tree blossoming in my front yard. spring is here, and hopefully it's here to stay. i miss warm weather when it's gone. i really like to wear shorts and flip-flops with a t-shirt. right now i'm in Amsterdam shorts and a hoodie, very comfortable.

i got a new phone at work the other day... the blackberry 7100i. it's pretty sweet. you can get different themes for it, and i customized the screen with a picture of Caleb and I.

now it is time to put our video of the pregnancy through year one onto a dvd. it's pretty easy with my mac. you should all get one.

killin' some ants...

that's the new saying around here...

this post is actuall a return of "blog from the throne", if you've been around long enough to know what that is. we now call this 'killin' some ants' since we've recently discovered ants in various places throughout our house, including the kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom. needless to say, i'm not happy.

some of you know that we have been dealing with getting a moisture/mold problem fixed at our house since January. it seemed to be close to coming to an end, but we found more mold/mildew in another place. with the addition of ants, we are not excited about living here right now.

management is supposed to come tomorrow or tuesday and take a look at all of this. we'll see what happens.

i'm also thinking about taking up guitar. i want to learn so that i can sing songs to/with Caleb and his brothers and sisters. i also want to be able to teach them something other than a sweet pass set, something they can pass on to their kids and enjoy.

well, i'm finished up here, so it's off to finish a game of cribbage with Kristie. i'm adding a list of my favorite games and the rules/how to play for them. cribbage, backgammon, acey-duecy, and farkle will all be on there. look back to find that soon.

don't feed the animals...

recently, we went to the st. louis zoo with my parents. we had a really good time. for a free zoo, st. louis is one of the best. caleb really enjoyed it. we took a bunch of pictures, which will be on the flickr site soon, and we also took this video. good times were had by all.

i'll write about some more things later. for now it's off to bed early for once.....

my, where has the time gone...

it's funny, i'm done playing football and it feels like people just drop off the face of the earth.

or did i...

i feel so disconnected in the 'real world', struggling to learn something well enough to make it a career and put food on the table. i know Kristie feels disconnected. she's stuck at home all day while im at work. her group of friends has moved on to lunches out and shopping for stuff they don't really need but can afford, so why not.

it's really weird. life after ball. football was never my life, but it was the life we lived. now we live a different life. with new people and new responsibilities.

~

my spirit is lazy. i'm not giving time to God. i'm being selfish with it. sleep, work, family, tv, this blog... no bible, unless it's at my study, or in church. prayer, but not with any depth or conviction. i'm spiritually sad. sad about my laziness.

in the mean time, i love relevantTV. it's flippin' sweet. go watch it. i'm going to do some work that i brought home. mmmmmm........
